In May, the Riga Porcelain Museum will host the decoration of porcelain with thematic decorations specially developed for the national holiday's.
May is a month full of holidays and celebrations! Spring has arrived, everything around wakes up, smells and blooms. As every year on May 1, we celebrate Labor Day and the convening day of the Constitutional Assembly of the Republic of Latvia. On May 4, we celebrate the day of the restoration of the independence of the Republic of Latvia - some at a white tablecloth, some in a different way. May 9 - Europe Day, May 15 - International Family Day. May 18 - International Museum Day, May 19 - Pentecost. May 22 - the day of celebration of names not recorded in calendars. On the other hand, this year we celebrate Mother's Day on May 12. Orthodox Easter and other religious holidays are also celebrated in the month of May this year.
The decal is a "removable sticker" - it is stuck on the dish. After firing at a temperature of 830 degrees, the decal color layer melts into the porcelain glaze and becomes mechanically resistant - such a dish can be used everyday and washed in the dishwasher without any worries. In addition to the special design of festive decals, the offer also includes decal sheets of different colors, from which you can cut out your fantasy ornament and create the most diverse combinations on the surface of the dish, thus obtaining a unique and unrepeatable item. I would decorate with my own hands.
The participation fee in the workshop is 6.70 - 19.10 EUR - depending on the value of the selected item. The offer includes cups, plates, bowls and other items of various sizes.
Lesson duration ~ 1.5 h
Classes are held under the guidance of professional artist - museum teachers Astra Kaprane and Vita Lukstina.
