At Riga Porcelain museum from July 12
For twelve years in a row The Art Academy of Latvia (AAL) in collaboration with The Artist’s Union of Latvia (AUL) has organised an international art symposium in Zvārtava Castle (The Art and Education Centre of Artist’s Union of Latvia).
The curators of this year’s international porcelain painting workshop were Inese Brants, the artist, scholar and pedagogue, and Ženija Loginova, the associate Professor of AAL Ceramics Department.
There have been 27 participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Germany, Italy and Turkey this year with eleven representatives from Latvia.
As usual it is possible to follow the results of symposium not just in Zvārtava Castle and in private artist’s workshops but in Riga Porcelain Museum as well. For the appraisal of Riga citizens’ and guests’ the unique, diverse and creative artworks made by participants from 7 countries are displayed in the museum.
Symposium’s exhibition will be on display until August 4.
